Introduction

Abstrix Meeting is a cloud hosting for BigBlueButton.

BigBlueButton is an open-source web conferencing system. It is powerful and has a lot of features, but needs certain experience to install and maintain. The standard approach by hosting it on one dedicated server has two challenges: it has its limit on the number of simultaneous meetings and it is not used all the time. You have to pay for it even during idle periods (like holiday breaks).

Our approach lets you save on those idle times and fine-choose resources that you actually need.

We also solve the problem of storing recordings on a long time range. If you regularly record meetings then the total occupied space will constantly grow and at certain point in time you will have to solve the problem of adding additional space or freeing the occupied one. And keeping such an archive playable at any moment makes it even more challenging.

Recordings are stored in a cloud storage which has virtually unlimited space, while being more reliable than a simple server. At the same time recording stay available for replay from any place. We also provide a way to download recordings if you need it (only audio, video and screensharing streams).

You can either run single meetings or buy a server on a weekly basis.

When launching a meeting you can select geographic locations where the meeting server will be located. This will help participants with slow connection to get the best possible experience. By selecting appropriate region you can make sure you comply with data processing regulations of your country. Currently we offer the following regions: Germany, France, UK, Poland, USA, Canada, Russia, Singapore.

Unlimited Simultaneous Meetings

Run meetings simultaneously without any performance degradation. Our API can be integrated into your application and will launch as many meetings as needed. Save on capital costs and go directly for the workloads you need.
Launch an online meeting with a few clicks or through the API and invite participants. They will only need a device with a browser: smartphone, tablet, desktop or laptop.

Communicate using video, audio or chat while presenting documents, drawing on the whiteboard or sharing your screen. Optionally enable recording and it will stay available for up to two years for playback.

Meetings run inside BigBlueButton - an open-source software, designed and developed with focus on online education.
